Sweater: c/o Rollick (less than $50!)
Shorts: Old Navy (similar)

Only one more day until it’s officially summer! With that in mind, you might be thinking, why are you so excited about a sweater?  I LOVE the look of cut off shorts with a lightweight sweater over a bathing suit during a chilly night outside at the beach or lake. This waffle knit, neutral look is a staple in my closet, especially for summer & fall.   The best part of this sweater, by far, is the fact that it’s reversible.  If you’re anything like me, you get sick of something after a few wears but the fact that I can change this look up every other time I wear it, makes it so functional, adorable, and practical!  You can shop this sweater at the link above. Happy almost summer!

Striped Top:  J.Crew
Ruffle Top: Old (similar. similar. similar)
Shorts: J.Crew (ON SALE!!)

As you have probably figured out, I love bargain shopping! I am not the kind of fashion blogger who is going to spend a fortune on one item. Most of the time, I don’t pay more than $30 for one piece.  When I do splurge, I want to make sure it is something I really love and something that I will get multiple uses out of.  That’s why I didn’t mind spending a little extra on these J.Crew shorts.  You can see how I styled them two different ways in the photos above.  The first look is more casual and nautical.  The second look is a little more dressed up with a soft, southern look.   I also plan to pair these with a graphic tee and an even more dressy off the shoulder top with wedges.  While I did splurge a little on these, the good news is that you don’t have to! These are on sale right now for less than $40! The pink color is only available in a few sizes but the white has plenty to choose from.  How would you style these shorts?  Let me know in the comments below!
